Other cookies remain on the user’s device and allow us to recognize the browser on the next visit (persistent cookies). The duration of storage can be found in the overview in the cookie settings of your web browser. By using our websites, you consent to cookies being set by us and thus to personal usage data being collected, stored and used, even beyond the end of the browser session. 4.2 Use of Google (Universal) Analytics for Web Analysis
Our website uses the web analysis service Google Analytics from Google Inc, USA. Google Analytics uses cookies (see above). These enable an analysis of the use of our website offer incl. IP addresses by Google in the USA. We would like to point out that on this website Google Analytics has been extended by the code “gat._anonymizeIp();” to ensure anonymized collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking). If anonymization is active, Google truncates IP addresses within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Area, which is why no conclusions can be drawn about your identity. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google observes the data protection provisions of the “Swiss-USA Privacy Shield” agreement (www.privacyshield.gov) and thus has an adequate level of data protection. Google uses the information collected to evaluate the use of our websites for us, to compile reports for us in this regard and to provide other related services to us. For more information, see the following link: www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/privacyoverview.html.
The collection of the data generated by the cookie and related to the use of the website (including your IP address) as well as the processing of this data by Google can be prevented by using the browser plugin available at the following link: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en. By clicking on this link, an opt-out cookie is stored on the computer, which also prevents analysis by Google. However, this process must be repeated after each deletion of the cookies.
5. Use of Google reCAPTCHA
This website uses the reCAPTCHA service of Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street Dublin 4, Ireland “Google”). The query serves the purpose of distinguishing whether the input is made by a human or by automated, machine processing. The query includes the sending of the IP address and possibly other data required by Google for the reCAPTCHA service to Google. For this purpose, your input is transmitted to Google and further used there. However, your IP address will be shortened beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of this service. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of reCaptcha will not be merged with other data from Google. Your data may also be transmitted to the USA in the process. For data transfers to the USA, there is an adequacy decision of the European Commission, the “Privacy Shield”. Google participates in the “Privacy Shield” and has submitted to the requirements. By pressing the query, you consent to the processing of your data. The processing is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. a DSGVO with your consent. You can revoke your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until revocation.
You can find more information about Google reCAPTCHA and the associated privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de
6. Privacy policy for the use of Google Web Fonts
This website uses so-called web fonts provided by Google for the uniform display of fonts. When you call up a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into its browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly. If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font is used by your computer.
You can find more information about Google Web Fonts at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google’s privacy policy: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/
7. Google Tag Manager
Google Tag Manager is a solution with which we can manage so-called website tags via an interface and thus, for example, integrate Google Analytics and other Google marketing services into our online offering. The Tag Manager itself, which implements the tags, does not process any personal data of the users. With regard to the processing of users’ personal data, please refer to the following information on Google services. Usage guidelines: https://www.google.com/intl/de/tagmanager/use-policy.html.
8. Google AdWords and Analytics Remarketing
We use Google AdWords to advertise this website in Google search results and on third-party websites. For this purpose, the so-called remarketing cookie is set by Google when you visit our website, which automatically enables interest-based advertising by means of a pseudonymous cookie ID and on the basis of the pages you visit. This serves to protect our legitimate interests in the optimal marketing of our website, which outweigh our interests in the context of a balancing of interests.
Additional data processing only takes place if you have consented to Google linking your web and app browsing history to your Google account and using information from your Google account to personalize ads you see on the web. In this case, if you are logged into Google while visiting our website, Google will use your data together with Google Analytics data to create and define target group lists for cross-device remarketing. For this purpose, Google temporarily links your personal data with Google Analytics data to form target groups.
Google AdWords Remarketing is an offer of Google LLC (www.google.de). Google LLC is headquartered in the USA and is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield. A current certificate can be viewed at www.privacyshield.gov. Based on this agreement between the USA and the European Commission, the latter has determined an adequate level of data protection for companies certified under the Privacy Shield.
You can deactivate the remarketing cookie via https://support.google.com/ads/answer/7395996. In addition, you can obtain information from the Digital Advertising Alliance (https://www.aboutads.info) about the setting of cookies and make settings in this regard.
Further information on Google Remarketing and Google’s privacy policy can be found at: https://www.google.com/privacy/ads/.
6. Use of Google Maps
This website uses the offer of Google Maps. This allows us to display interactive maps directly on the website and enables you to comfortably use the map function. By visiting the website, Google receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. This occurs regardless of whether Google provides a user account through which you are logged in or whether there is no user account. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be directly assigned to your account. If you do not want the assignment with your profile at Google, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data as usage profiles and uses them for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or demand-oriented design of its website. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to provide needs-based advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact Google to exercise this right. For more information on the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by Google, as well as further information on your rights in this regard and settings options for protecting your privacy, please visit: www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy.
7. Embedded YouTube videos
We embed YouTube videos on some of our websites. The operator of the corresponding plugins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with the YouTube plugin, a connection to YouTube servers is established. This tells Youtube which pages you are visiting. If you are logged into your Youtube account, Youtube can assign your surfing behavior to you personally. You can prevent this by logging out of your Youtube account beforehand.
If a Youtube video is started, the provider uses cookies that collect information about user behavior.
If you have deactivated the saving of cookies for the Google Ad program, you will not have to deal with such cookies when watching Youtube videos. However, Youtube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you would like to prevent this, you must block the storage of cookies in the browser.
For more information on data protection at Youtube, please refer to the provider’s privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de&gl=de.
